Award Winning Screen Printing

Posted by: Michael Wilson - 01/19/10

Atlas Print took second place in the Impressions Awards for 2009. This is the industry’s most prestigious apparel decorating contest. Impressions Magazine is the leading industry publication and they host one of the largest national trade shows, the Imprinted Sportswear Shows (ISS). The ISS shows are held throughout the year across the United States. The 31st annual contest was judged at the Fort Worth Imprinted Sportswear Show, which was held Sept. 25-27. Award winners are showcased in the January 2010 Impressions Magazine and displayed at the 2010 ISS trade shows.

We received the second place award in the category, “Eco-Friendlier Screen Printing”.
We screen printed a single shirt using the Harvest of Hope design created by Horse Bites Design. We previously printed this design on Black shirts for the 2009 Harvest of Hope Music Festival put on by No Idea Records to benefit the Harvest of Hope Foundation. It’s a rad design and we feel it was an excellent choice to help support the cause.

We printed this design on an American Apparel organic cotton fashion fit tee shirt.
The design was printed as three colors with Eco-Friendly Water Base Ink.
No wood screens were hurt in the making of this shirt, only re-usable metal roller frames which we reclaim with water and soy chemistry.
